(ENG) Karoline Schneider is a multimedia artist who lives and works in Leipzig. She studied book art/graphic design and painting/graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig and sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli. She completed her master class with Ingo Meller and Oliver Kossack in 2017. Since then she has been a member of the b2_ gallery in Leipzig.
She has worked in a variety of settings with a feminist intersectional approach on issues such as discrimination, colonialism and institutional critique. She has held positions at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig, the GRASSI Museum of Ethnology, the Ethnological Museum Dresden in the Japanese Palace and the German Hygiene Museum Dresden in the exhibition Racism - the Invention of Human Races. As an art educator at the Gallery of Contemporary Art, she engages with methods of aesthetic research.
She is part of the sorbian subculture collective kolektiw wakuum and the group kompliz*, which deals with the networking of cultural, socio-cultural and political educational venues in Saxony - rural and urban.
